Εxploring Conflict, Sharing a Future in a World in Transition

The Summer School offers to participants 2 ECTS for 30 hours of lectures and workshops plus a 10-hour individual workload on research projects and assignments.

The 2017 Summer School aims at examining various moments of socio-cultural, historical and political transition by commenting on the notions of peace and conflict both in an American and transatlantic context with special emphasis placed on human rights, global education, shared cultural values, community diversity, cohesion and understanding.

We welcome applications from:

  • undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • researchers from all fields of studies
  • educators from primary, secondary and college education
  • IB students
  • the interested public

The Summer School program is open to everyone who wishes to deepen their understanding of current scholarly debates and research within the context of:

  • Ethnicity
  • Global America
  • Peace and Conflict
  • Global education
  • Human rights, cultural diversity, non-violence.

The language of the Summer School is English. The material to be used emerges from American Studies without excluding its conversation with other disciplines and socio-cultural realities.
